I would assume, if you love someone, that you give them a modicum of understanding and the benefit of the doubt when they try and explain why they reacted the way they did in a certain situation. I would also assume that it means that you don't automatically believe the worst about them and accuse them of such.
But that's my opinion on loving someone, off topic as it is as well.

No, and she didn't. I'm glad that Liz and Max both made their own decisions and choices whether right or wrong. Just because you love someone doesn't mean that you have to agree with each and every thing they say and do.
In S3 Liz was called a doormat, and at first I thought she was too. Then I realized that it was Liz's own decision to finally stand by the man she loved whether right or wrong. Liz did get upset and left Max eventually but it was still her own choice.

I agree but I never truly got upset with Max until the way he treated Liz in Departure through Ch-Ch-Changes it's hard to say when he finally learned his lesson due to his death and return that happened in the next two episodes, but the Max & Liz for that matter we got after Chant Down Babylon was a Max & Liz I liked and most definately deserved each other.

I know it's a shame that it took Max dying and Liz bringing him back to life to get things back on track. I blame TPTB for taking so long and by then it was too little, too late to save Roswell again.
i agree with those who say that Max and Liz only redeemed their relationship after Max died n came bck (i hav 2 say that entire scene at the beginning of 4aaab was totally cute, kinda lyk s1 again)
also on isabel's whole speech on "Jesse is the only one i can see my whole lyf wif etc."
i hav 2 say that i do luv Jesse n Isabel as a couple... however i think they should have placed a fling between isabel and a random before marrying her off to jesse, ... i dunno there jst should've been something inbetween her relationship with alex and her relationship with jesse, cuz u jst dnt jump from one relationship 2 another unless its rebound...

Ah, but we never got to see what Max would have actually done. It's one in his defense to say that he didn't like Sean, but I bet he would have healed him anyway. Come to think of it, what happened to the stab wound? Max didn't heal it, so did it just disappear when Liz agreed to go on a date with Sean? Or was it not as bad as they thought, even though he was lying on the floor, dying, after it had happened?
Who said he was dying?
Seriously, I think that it wasn't a terribly bad wound, but it wasn't easy to tell that in the thick of it. Liz was worried that it was pretty bad, and she didn't like to see him in pain - that's why she brought up Max healing him. Probably it was something that Sean was mostly over by the time HOM started.
