Well, as you said, Michael had a LOT more alcohol than Max. Having drunk that much, he probably went straight past the 'no inhibitions' stage to the 'I'm sick as a dog' stage. I agree with this one. That was always my perception. I also attribute the lack of hangover to Max's self-healing abilities...

Yeah, he can pretty much get away with saying anything he wants.

But the fact still remains that Liz and Max made their own choices. No one else can be blamed for the things that went wrong with their relationship.

I can't really blame Tess for all of Max and Liz's problems. Tess liked Max and I think lots of girls would try to catch a guy on the rebound. With the exception of Alex's death, Max and Liz's problems resulted from bad decisions that they each made. I love the couple and I wish they hadn't made tho...
